After the torrential rains this past winter it became obvious that I needed to get a re-roof (AKA Lift and Reset) done on my 35yr old tile roof. After researching companies and getting quotes I decided to go with Shelter Roofing and Solar … More for four main reasons: 1) The salesperson, Vivek, was honest and straightforward - he didn't try to hard sell me and there was no pressure whatsoever 2) The reviews (across platforms) are phenomenal 3) Their quote actually came in lower than all the other quotes and 4) They were able to do the solar detach and reset as part of the job. In addition, I was interested in taking advantage of the SGIP rebates and adding a whole home battery system so I decided to work with them to add a battery system to my home as well.I can say that from beginning to end everyone on the Shelter team was exceptional. They are professional, timely, down to earth, and honest. They are also willing to drop everything and assist in the event that your battery unexpectedly stops working and needs some TLC (huge thanks to Brandon and Levi for helping me - clutch play). I want to specifically shout out some of the amazing people who helped along the way, specifically: Vivek, Kat, Darshan, Rudy, Lareina, and Colin.Side note: I am writing this review after my roof and battery are installed and working, however I a still waiting on the final steps of the SGIP rebate system. I will update this review or post a separate review once that is finalized (government stuff is always a bit slow)

I would give this company an A+ for their service and professionalism as well as their pricing. From the salesperson Vivek to their staff and foreman Rudy, I had NO problems or issues. They completed the job when promised and kept me updated … More along the way of the progress. I would highly recommend them if you need a new roof.

Short version: Highly Recommended. Top quality job and materials, trustworthy, and real value for the price.Longer version:1. This was a complete reroofing job, removing 2 layers of previous shingles, adding OSB/plywood, redoing vents, … More etc.2. From first contact to project completion, interactions were uniformly good. From initial consult to estimate, scheduling, and completion, we experienced no "switcheroos" or dropping the ball.3. Good communication - we did our research and screened and Shelter was willing and happy to come out more than once to scope out the work and answer questions/concerns.4. Office staff, estimators, project manager, onsite crew manager, all were uniformly friendly and responsive.5. Knowledgeable neighbors (from former roofing jobs on their own properties) observed the project in the works and were also impressed with the project team's work.6. Pricing came in at estimate - they weren't the lowest quote or highest quote, and through our due diligence we learned the right questions to ask to avoid surprises.7. Quality of product is top notch and demo/install work was excellent.8. They had a haul away for the demo and project work, and they spent up to an hour at the end of each day cleaning up, using a rolling magnet to collect any loose nails or metal - and with a Porta Potty onsite, no one needed to come inside.9. End result - we are very happy and also happy to provide a very positive review.Unsolicited tips and duggestions:1. Do due diligence before talking to any firm, and check out as many as you can - starting with personal referrals (folks in your circle you trust, such as insurance and real estate professionals, if they're willing to recommend), online reviews (Google, Yelp, and yes, Better Business Bureau).2. You can find a lot of checklists online that give you questions to ask - and if the firm won't take the time to answer them, why would you give them tens of thousands of your dollars to them? Since it's the roof over your head and the health and safety of those in your home, you should interview the firm just as you would if you were going to hire an employee.3. Anything with exposed beams/ceiling (such as a garage) will have a lot of dust, sediment, debris, etc. come through (your attic will also get a lot) - be sure to move stuff in such areas and tarp over that and any surfaces you don't want to spend time on cleaning up or are concerned will be damaged.
